Here are some tips that could get you out of trouble. BUT...

…please do your research first.  These may not be the best course of action, so use caution. There are many carpet cleaning methods out there, but some of the most effective ones are often the simplest. Here are eight carpet cleaning methods that you might not have heard of before.

8 tips and tricks to remove carpets stains

Baking soda:

Baking soda is a natural deodorizer and can also help to absorb dirt and grime from carpets. Sprinkle baking soda on your carpet, let it sit for 30 minutes, and then vacuum it up. You can also mix baking soda with a little bit of water to create a paste that can be used to spot-clean stains.

Club soda: Club soda is a great way to clean up spills on carpets. The carbonation helps to lift dirt and stains, and the club soda will evaporate quickly, so you don’t have to worry about it soaking through the carpet backing.

Cornmeal:
Cornmeal is a surprisingly effective way to absorb grease stains from carpets. Simply sprinkle cornmeal on the stain, let it sit for a few hours, and then vacuum it up. The cornmeal will absorb the grease, and you’ll be left with a clean carpet.

Ice cubes: Ice cubes can be used to harden chewing gum or wax that is stuck on your carpet. Once the gum or wax is hardened, you can easily scrape it off with a blunt knife.

Lemon juice:
Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent that can be used to lighten stains on carpets. However, it’s important to test lemon juice on an inconspicuous area of your carpet first to make sure it doesn’t cause any discoloration.

Vinegar:
Vinegar is a versatile cleaning product that can also be used to clean carpets. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the vinegar solution on your carpet, and then blot it up with a clean, absorbent cloth. Vinegar can help to remove pet odors and kill bacteria.

Shaving cream: Shaving cream can be used to remove oily stains from carpets. Apply a dollop of shaving cream to the stain, and then let it sit for 30 minutes. Blot up the shaving cream with a clean, absorbent cloth.

Salt: Salt can be used to absorb spills and help to prevent them from setting in. Apply a layer of salt to the spill, and then let it sit for 30 minutes. Vacuum up the salt.

Important Note: Always test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of your carpet before using it on the entire surface. This will help to ensure that the solution doesn’t damage your carpet.
